Itinerary - Costa Rica Adventure Holiday

Explore Costa Rica’s wild side on foot, by raft and zip line on this adrenaline packed adventure.

Day 1. Arrival San Jose

A representative from Costa Rican Trails will meet you at the airport and transfer you your hotel.

Day 2. Pacuare River - Whitewater rafting

Raft your way to one of Costa Rica’s best eco lodges – Pacuare Lodge. Voted as one of the world’s best eco lodges by National Geographic magazine. In the afternoon you can relax in a hammock or enjoy a hike with a local expert naturalist guide to explore the pristine forest surrounding the lodge.

Day 3. Whitewater rafting

The rafting becomes even more exciting today as you use the skills and experience gained yesterday! Your guides will stop the rafts along the journey and lead you up paths and side streams that open onto pristine waterfalls and natural water slides. Here you can swim. Later you will be taken by road to Arenal.

Day 4. Lost Canyon Adventure, Hike and Hot Springs

Prepare to get wet! Our experienced guides put you into your safety harness and assist you down a series of over 8 amazing waterfalls that get gradually bigger and bigger. A calmer afternoon takes you on a hike on the flank of the perfectly conical shaped Arenal volcano and you have the chance to soak in the thermal springs.

Day 5. Arenal - Panama Beach

Today you head to the beach and arguably one of the friendliest places on the northern Guanacaste shores. The laid back atmosphere is perfect for those who want some peace and quiet and who prefer not to be in a big resort style hotel. You can be as active or relaxed as you wish here with windsurfing, walks fishing and hammocks on offer.

Day 6. Guachipelin Adventure

In case you have not had enough adventure by now today we include a Canopy tour, Rock climbing, Tarzan swing, via ferrata, and more hanging bridges. In the afternoon you have time for a well earned rest by relaxing in hot water pools that come directly from Rincon de la Vieja Volcano.
