Itinerary - Luxury Rio to Machu Picchu Tour

Day 1. Arrive Rio de Janeiro

Fly to Rio de Janeiro. You will be greeted by an English speaking guide who will accompany you to your hotel. Hotel Ipanema Plaza.

Day 2. Christ the Redeemer

Your half day Rio tour takes you up high to enjoy a splendid view of this beautiful city from the statue of Christ the Redeemer. Hotel Ipanema Plaza.

Day 3. Sugarloaf Mountain

Your half day Rio tour takes you on the cable car up Sugar Loaf Mountain. Afterwards enjoy a traditional Brazilian barbeque lunch. In the afternoon you will be taken to the airport for your flight to Iguacu Falls. Belmond Hotel Das Cataratas – deluxe hotel.

Day 4. Argentine side of Iguacu Falls

A full day with a guide to explore the Argentine side of Iguazu Falls, get right up close to the falls and surrounding jungle, thanks to specially constructed walkways More on Iguazu Falls We also include a Gran Aventura boat ride up to the thunderous “Devil’s Throat”. Day 5. Brazil side of Iguacu Falls

Your private tour of the Brazilian side of the falls allows you to see Iguazu in a stunning panorama. Breathtaking! Travel on in the afternoon to Lima where you will be picked up and taken to your city centre hotel. Casa Andina Private Collection.

Day 6. Lima City or Pucusana fishing village

Today choose from a half day cultural tour of Lima city or travel south to an authentic fishing village and spot local wildlife. Casa Andina Private Collection.

Day 7. Sacred Valley tour of Chinchero market

Fly to Cusco and travel down to the Sacred Valley via colourful Chinchero. Visit the local weaving cooperative and shop in the vibrant local market. Sol y Luna Hotel and Spa.

Day 8. Sacred Valley tour Moray and Maras

Discover the fascinating Inca sites of Moray and Maras with a private guide. Then enjoy a free afternoon to gaze at the Andes and relax in this beautiful area. Hotel Sol y Luna.

Day 9. Ollantaytambo ruins. Train to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu)

Wander the Inca alleyways of Ollantaytambo before taking the train to Aguas Calientes, at the foot of Machu Picchu,This afternoon your private guide will show you the intricate stonework and explain the significance of the Inca sanctuary. Day 10. Revisit Machu Picchu

Today return to Machu Picchu on your own. Climb Huayna Picchu and soak up the views from this extraordinary spot. Afterwards you will be taken to your hotel in Cusco. Hotel El Mercado.

Your private guide will take you on a tour of the historic city of Cusco high in the Andes. Enjoy the colonial and Inca highlights in and around this fascinating city. Hotel El Mercado.

Day 12. Cusco

Enjoy a free day in Cusco to relax and explore. Wander through cobbled streets to Plaza das Armas or visit the Inca Museum. In the evening taste the delicious local food and try a Pisco sour. Hotel El Mercado.

You will be taken to the airport for your flight to Lima and home.
