Day 1. Lima

Arrive into the capital city of Lima, transfer to your hotel.

Day 2. Puno

Fly to Juliaca, transfer to Puno visiting the huge pre Inca burial towers of Sillustani along the way.

Day 3. Lake Titicaca

Full day on Lake Titicaca visiting the unique floating Uros Islands then onto Taquile island. Taquile is a natural island and inhabited by a Quechua community who still speak the language of the Incas and wear traditional dress.

Day 4. Cusco

First class bus to Cusco visiting sites of interest along the way. An unforgettable drive along the Andean plains and down to the city of Cusco.

Day 5. Cusco City Tour

Half day tour of Cusco and the outlying Inca sites. In the evening you will have a full Inca Trail briefing.

Day 6. Sacred Valley Tour

Full day tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas including Pisac market and Ollantaytambo before returning to Cusco to spend the night.

Day 7. Begin Inca Trail

Drive to KM82 to begin hiking the inca trail. Today's trek begins with an easy path alongside the Urubamba river. Pass the site of Llactapata before turning into a beautiful valley and heading uphill to Huayllabamba.

Day 8. Trek to Pacamayo

An easy start on this day as you begin the long ascent up to Dead Woman's pass which lies at 4200m above sea level. Passing through dense cloud forest, then into the high grasslands with awe inspiring mountain views, the effort is definitely worth it. After Dead Woman's pass, descend to Pacamayo, a beautifully located campsite.

Day 9. Trek to Winay Wayna

Another challenging high pass to go over before descending to the small but fascinating site of Sayacmarca. From here the trail is an easy, undulating path through stunning cloud forest, here you can see orchids, hummingbirds and an amazing variety of vegetation. The day finishes with a descent to the campsite at Winay Wayna, close to the site of the same name. This campsite has the luxury of showers!

Day 10. Trek to Machu Picchu

An early departure on an undulating path to the Sun Gate to see dawn arrive at Machu Picchu. From here you walk down to the main site for a tour of the ruins before heading back to Cusco by train and bus.

Day 11. Lima Tour

Fly to Lima, transfer to your hotel. Afternoon tour of the city.

Day 12. Fly home

Transfer to the airport for your international flight home.
