In summary: A very varied tour from the high Andes to the cloudforests of Machu Picchu and then down into some of the most pristine stretches of Amazon jungle. A great value tour of some of Peru´s highlights.

Day 1. Lima

Arrive into the capital city of Lima, private transport to your hotel.

Day 2. Cusco City Tour

Fly to Cusco and transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon you will have a tour of Cusco and the outlying Inca sites. Machu Picchu is just one of many Inca sites dotted in and around the Inca empire. Today you will see evidence of the genius stone masonry that the Incas are so famous for alongside colonial architecture.

Day 3. The Sacred Valley

A full day tour with lunch in the beautiful Sacred Valley of the Incas visiting Pisac market and the site of Ollantaytambo. Overnight in the Sacred Valley to rest before your visit to Machu Picchu tomorrow.

Day 4. Machu Picchu Tour

The train journey to Machu Picchu is a delight in itself as you descend from the Sacred Valley down into the lush cloud forest. Today you have a private tour of Machu Picchu with a local guide, afterwards you may like to visit the thermal baths in Aguas Calientes town.

Day 5. Machu Picchu

We include a second day to give you ample time for personal exploration, perhaps some gentle hiking and of course plenty of photo taking! Afternoon return to Cusco by train and bus.

Day 6. Amazon Jungle

Transfer to Cusco airport for your flight to Puerto Maldonado. Transfer by motorised canoe to your comfortable lodge set deep in the Amazon rainforest.

Day 7. Amazon Jungle

In the Jungle there are various activities including nature walks, educational talks, a boat trip to spot Caiman and nocturnal nature trails. All meals and activities are included.

Day 8. Lima

Return to Puerto Maldonado for your flight to Lima. Overnight Lima.

Day 9. Fly Home

Transfer to the airport for your international flight home.
