Day 1. Buenos Aires
Arrive into the capital city of Buenos Aires, private transport to your hotel.
Day 2. Buenos Aires Tour and Tango
Morning private tour of the city. Your tour takes you to the colourful Boca area, San Telmo which is famous for its antique shops and tango as well as the major sights of this cosmopolitain city. Free afternoon. In the evening we include a Tango show and dinner.
Day 3. El Calafate
Today you fly south to El Calafate in Patagonia. Try to get a window seat for breathtaking views of El Lago Argentina with its hunks of icebergs floating serenely in the turquiose water. You have a free afternoon to explore this characterful town, situated next to the lake. Don't miss the superb restaurants here, the perfect place to try Patagonian lamb and a bottle of Argentinian Malbec.
Day 4. Perito Merino Glacier
Visit Perito Merino glacier with option to do a glacier walk (no experience required) or boat trip up to the face of the glacier. If you are lucky you will witness a calving this happens when ice breaks away from the main glacier and crashes into the water below.
Day 5. Ushuaia
Fly to Ushuaia, the “end of the world”, free afternoon. This town has a unique atmosphere, being the most southerly town in the southern hemisphere. Take time to relax over one of the locally produced artesan beers and reflect on the centuries of voyages that passed through this part of the world.
Day 6. Tierra del Fuego National Park
This morning is spent exploring this beautiful national park at the tip of the continent. The area covers mountains, lakes and valleys and is a delightful place for hiking, bird watching or just enjoying the peaceful environment. In the afternoon you may like to make the walk up to Cerro Martial which offers fantastic views.
Day 7. Beagle Channel Boat Trip
Today you head out on the famous Beagle Channel by boat where you can see seal colonies and learn more about the indigenous people who lived off the land here for centuries. There is also a visit to the famous Estancia (manor) Haberton, which is the oldest one in the area.
Day 8. Iguassu
Today you head north and into the jungle. Iguassu falls are one of the natural wonders of the world and you will discover why they are certainly worthy of this accolade over the next few days.
Day 9. Iguassu Falls
visit Argentina side with its beautifully laid out walkways that take you right up close to the falls and surrounding jungle.
Day 10. Iguassu Falls
Visit the Brazil side for a panoramic view of this natural world wonder.
Day 11. Tango in Buenos Aires
No visit to Buenos Aires would be complete without experiencing Tango. Today you have an afternoon Tango tour, visiting the spots where the dance originated, then an optional lesson before a live Tango show with dinner
Day 12. Fly home
Transfer to the airport for your international flight home.
