Day 1. Lima

Arrive into Lima, transfer to your hotel.

Day 2. Puno

Fly to Puno for Lake Titicaca. Includes a visit to Silustani funerary towers in their dramatic location on the shores of the lake and surrounded by high Andean plains.

Day 3. Lake Titicaca Tour

A full day on lake Titicaca visiting the unique floating Uros islands. These islands are made entirely out of reeds and house a whole community of local Aymara people. Contiune to the uniquely traditional and very beautiful island of Taquile with not a car in sight.

Day 4. Cusco

Tour to Cusco including stops at ancient Inca sites and high viewpoints along the way. A great way to exerience the dramatic high Andean scenery.

Day 5. Cusco City Tour

Half day tour of the outlying Inca sites and the fascinating city of Cusco. Machu Picchu is just one of many Inca sites dotted in and around the ancient Inca empire. Today you will see evidence of the genius stone masonry that the Incas are so famous for alongside colonial architecture.

Day 6. Sacred Valley Tour

A full day tour with lunch in the beautiful Sacred Valley of the Incas visiting Pisac market and the site of Ollantaytambo. Overnight in the Sacred Valley to rest before your visit to Machu Picchu by train tomorrow.

Day 7. Machu Picchu Tour

The train to Machu Picchu is a delight in itself as you descend from the Sacred Valley down into the lush cloud forest. Today you have a private tour of Machu Picchu with a local guide, afterwards you may like to visit the thermal baths in Aguas Calientes town.

Day 8. Machu Picchu

We include a second day to give you ample time for personal exploration, perhaps some gentle hiking and of course plenty of photo taking! Afternoon return to Cusco by train and bus.

Day 9. Lima City Tour

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima. Afternoon tour taking in the full spectrum of neighbourhoods and sights that make up this cosmopolitain city.

Day 10. Fly home

Transfer to the airport for your flight home.

If you like hiking but don't want to do the full inca trail trek there is a one day inca trail trek which takes you on the last part of the famous route into Machu Pichu. Numbers are limited so early booking is essential, ask for more information
