Day 1. Arrive Santiago

On arrival into Santiago your private car and driver will pick you up and take you to your city centre hotel.

Day 2. Balamanca and Carretera Austral

Fly south to Patagonia where you will pick up your car and begin your drive along the Carretera Austral - the remote southern road of Chile. Head past the jagged peaks of Cerro Castillo National Park, and visit 3000 year old cave paintings, to overnight at Puerto Rio Tranquillo - ´Quiet River´.

Day 3. Puerto Rio Tranquilo – Puerto Guadal

You choose your program but you might want to discover the marble caves on Lake General Carrera or take a detour to Exploradores Valley for views over to the Northern Patagonia Ice Field

Day 4. Lake General Carrera

Take your time exploring this gorgeous area. Take advantage of the many short hikes or just enjoy the tranquility and fresh air of Southern Patagonia. Stay in a lakeside cabin.

Day 5. Cochrane and Caleta Tortel

Cochrane is the home of Tamango National Reserve where Prince William spend his year out preserving the native forests and wildlife. Continue to Caleta Tortel, a town so remote that there are no streets - only wooden platforms connecting the houses. This fishing villages had spend centuries being cut off from the world and are as charming as they come.

Day 6. Villa O´Higgins

A spectacular drive takes you to the end of the road and the frontier town of Villa O´Higgins. Ice fields and lakes make continuing the road impossible. Head down to Lake O´Higgins to see icebergs floating down before heading back to Tortel for the night.

Day 7. Coyhaique

Head back through the mountains to the regional capital of Coyhaique, a well known fly fishing centre. This is a good place to try some great restaurants for some local Patagonian specialties.

Day 8. Balamanca

Continue to Balamanca for your flight to Santiago and home.
